Last week we finished up a STEM activity in Science. The goal was to use 2 plastic Meijer bags to create the strongest spider web possible.
They only directions they were given were they had to cut it somehow and both bags needed to be used. Other than that, they were on their own with their imaginations! Some groups jumped right in and came up with a design immediately; other groups took a tad longer to plan. It was interesting to watch them work together as a team, test their design, and revamp their work to make it even stronger.
The team's web that held the most Reading books held 8 books! They are already asking when they get to do another one! ***SHHHH.....don't tell them - another one is coming in a few weeks for Valentine's Day! ;-)
