Happy Holy week! I am so blessed for each and every one of you. I thank you for sharing your child with me and letting me get to know them throughout the week! Dr. Frederick and I have been working really hard on getting to the bottom of some of the behaviors in our classroom. IT'S WORKING! There have been many prayers said in class and out of class, as well as time with a group of 6th graders digging deeper into their lives.  God is GREAT!

There will be no chapel this Wednesday because we will go on Thursday for Maundy Thursday service at 1pm. You are more than welcome to join us for that service. We talked today about wearing nicer clothes that day as a way to show respect to Jesus and the sacrifice He made for us.

This week we are going to be focusing on the events leading up to Jesus' crucifixion during Religion time. Some of these lessons will carry over into next week. Memory will be on Thursday. This week's verse is Ephesians 2:8-9 "For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast."

I wish you all blessed Holy Week! Just remember, Friday will be here, but SUNDAY IS COMING! He is RISEN!

God's Blessings to all of you!

Here we go.......

Well, here we are - heading into April! WOW!  I can't believe just how quickly the year is flying by!

April is going to be a busy month, for sure! Don't forget that this Thursday and Friday are both 1/2 days, with dismissal at 11:30 am. Thursday is conference day, so if you haven't signed up yet, please do or contact me so we can set up a time!

There is no school Friday, April 14th and Monday, April 17th for Easter weekend! Hopefully the weather will be better by then so you are able to spend time outdoors with family and friends.

Students are working hard on their Science Fair projects.  The science fair is April 28th from 5:30-6:30.  Students need to be here by 5:20 to set their projects up and be ready to explain and answer questions. They should be dressed in church attire.  That night is also the night of the K-4th grade Spring play, Malice in the Palace. Please join us at 6:30 to watch that! It is going to be a night celebrating ALL of our students here at Bethlehem.

March was a month that brought back some memories of being in school myself.  I taught them how to cover books using a brown paper bag! They all said they wanted to do more! I loved watching the 5th and 6th graders interacting together at recess and play some "old school" games of 4-square and jump rope. All too often, it is easy to get caught up in the hustle and bustle of the day to day life.  They gave me a quick reminder that I need to slow down and take time for the "little things", that end up being the BIG things!

Happy Spring - let's pray for NO SNOW at the end of this week! (But, be prepared and make sure your kiddos have warm coats, hats, and gloves again, please!)

God's Blessings!
